Stu’s Friday Wrap-Up: Avoiding all things E3 edition
[From the ever awesome Andrew Dickman's deviantart page]
Hi-ho, Stu here. This week was tough because pretty much every site I frequent was all bombarded with news from some big expo thing. So here's the avoidance of all things like that!
- Who needs lightswitches when you have arcade buttons? I think Lisa might be considering changing all the switches in her house to these very soon. [AlephDesign's Etsy page]
- Speaking of cool stuff on Esty, ever wanted your own Neverending Story Auryn? Well, if you got a spare 200 bucks or so on you, you can have one. Money is no object when you need to save Fantasia! [Plumvine's Etsy page by way of GeekGems]
-Like closed and abandoned things that make you feel the zombipocalypse has already arrived? Well then, go through this Flickr slide show of the long since closed Nara Dreamland in Japan and see what would happen to Bizarro Zombie Infested Disneyland. [TenaciousLibb's Flickr set]
-Of course, Nara Dreamland didn't look all that much different from that when it was open either, as evidenced by archive video from Robb Alvey of Theme Park Review [Nara Dreamland video on TPR's CoasterTube]
-Weekly WANT!: The wardrobe of AbbyShot Clothing. Now, it's currently ungodly hot where I am right now, but it does not stop me from wanting most of the film quality reproduction jackets that AbbyShot make. My current WANT list from their wardrobe: The Malcolm Reynolds Browncoat, Deckard Trench, Foxhound coat, Jenova trench, Lobby trench, Silent Bob's Coat, the Tenth Doctor's Coat, Vereen jacket and, when they become available, Dante Coat and the Eleventh Doctor's Jacket. They’re the same guys who make Rifftrax aren’t they? I love those guys.

You are correct, mostly. Mike, Bill, and Kevin went and created Rifftrax. Joel, Frank, Trace, J. Elvis, and Mary Jo went and created Cinematic Titanic. Both are awesome.

Ah Silent Bob’s coat.
I need a new flasher coat, why not splurge!

For that, I’d think you’d want to go with the Deckard. More initial coverage.
