Proof that the Internet can be better than Hollywood

I've been a long time supporter of Revision3's programming since episode one of Diggnation. Though there are shows I watch more often than others, one of the ones I pass along more than any other is Film Riot. It bridges that line of being informative (if you wanna know film editing and special effects tricks) and amazingly funny (Ryan [Connolly]'s sense of humor seems to be very similar to this site). The other reason why I promote them, so they can bring us amazingly bad ass stuff like "Losses":

Though I have the embed here, you really need to go to YouTube to watch it in "Original" which is the original 2k file. After catching your breath from the sheer amount of Borne style action awesome, realize this: the whole thing was an exercise in making a "professional" product with as little resources as possible. The short film was done for under $200 in budget, with an on loan Red Epic camera, entirely with family and friend volunteers and on an extremely short time table. And somehow the result is a better collection of action scenes than I've seen on screen in a long time. So, if you enjoyed it, follow Ryan Connolly on twitter (he's the writer/director/cinematographer/editor), along with Josh Connolly (he's the one who looks really bad ass) and Film Riot as a whole, and tell him how awesome it was and maybe that Save Point sent you. Maybe. If you wanna.
