NEW ON KOTAKU: The Konami Code Shows Up In The Strangest Places
True story.
One day I discovered that the Konami Code worked on the remote of my Vizio TV in order to reset my Netflix app. Now, I'm not sure if I'm overlooking something in that statement, but I'm PRETTY CERTAIN that situation has nothing to do with video games. Or Contra.
Watch me talk about all the silly crazy nutty WTF places the Konami Code pops in the real world.

Lisa,
I actually work for VIZIO and have for over the past 5 years, on top of having been a gamer my entire life starting with an NES with Adventures of Bayou Billy and Back to The future.. Im very curious about which model you have and exactly how you entered to Konami code along with what prompted you to try it in the first place.

Ah, finally getting the video to work (Currently in China which blocks most streaming media outlets) i see it came from Yahoo answers. Still, i would like to know which model.

Cool video, except I kept getting distracted by the botched blue screening on your left breast/hip.
Oh god, am I a pervert now?

I tried using the Konami Code on myself to activate big head mode, but I don’t think it worked… I don’t see why it should, because I’m too awesome, intelligent and handsome and better than everybody else in the world ever, right?

My reaction: “Cool. I like this. Awesome informativeness. Let’s see how many people know the coHOLYSHITPRYDEANDSHORTYFTW”. And then my brain shut down forever.

I remember a few years ago “Newsweek” had that code working. It turned a site for serious news into one, where all articles werte swapped for ones about a zombie apocalypse…i LOL’d so hard about that one.

Quarter circle punch- The only right answer.
Cool article/video, it brought back a lot of old school memories and I didn’t know the code worked on so many modern games!
