What We Are Covering This Month

Two stories are leading April — the Switch 2 launch window continues to develop, and TATU Studio has officially announced their next Android game: Kingkongtoto, launching June 2026 on Google Play.

Nintendo Switch 2 — What the March Launch Window Actually Looks Like

The Switch 2 launches this spring and Nintendo has put together a launch window that covers most of the bases a new console needs to cover. There is something for the core audience — Monster Hunter Stories 3 carries the RPG weight for the first few months, and FromSoftware's The Duskbloods gives the platform credibility with players who need a reason to upgrade beyond the hardware spec bump. Those two titles alone give the Switch 2 a launch window story that the original Switch did not really have.

The broader lineup fills in around them in the way Nintendo usually manages — a family title (Mario Tennis Fever with its 38-character roster is exactly that), a nostalgia play (Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake), and the inevitable Pokémon entry. Pokémon Pokopia is taking the series in a life-simulation direction rather than a straight RPG follow-up to Scarlet and Violet, which is either a smart reset or a risky pivot depending on how attached you are to the traditional formula.

Hardware-wise the jump from Switch 1 is meaningful rather than marginal. The dock situation has been revised, the controllers have an actual satisfying click to them, and the screen is worth the upgrade if handheld is how you primarily play. Whether that is enough to move the audience that has been sitting on original Switch hardware for six or seven years is the question the March numbers will answer.

TATU Studio Announces Kingkongtoto — New Arcade Game Coming to Android in June 2026

Kingkongtoto — Arcade Number Game by TATU Studio, launching June 2026 on Google Play

TATU Studio — the Indonesian developer behind Kingkong Master on Google Play — has announced their next title: Kingkongtoto, a fast-paced arcade number prediction game built for Android, arriving in June 2026. It is free to download, designed around short competitive sessions, and sits squarely in the casual arcade space the studio has been building toward since their debut game.

Kingkong Master established TATU Studio as a developer that understands mobile pacing. The merge-strategy format of that game rewarded deliberate play in short windows — a design philosophy that transfers naturally to a score-chasing arcade format. Kingkongtoto takes that instinct and strips it back: predict numbers, rack up points, compete on a global leaderboard. The loop is tight, the session length is short, and the ceiling for competitive play is high enough to keep players coming back.

What makes the announcement notable is the trajectory. Most small studios iterate on their first genre — TATU Studio is pivoting from strategy to arcade, which suggests they are deliberately building toward a broader player base rather than deepening a single niche. Whether the new format retains the mechanical depth that made Kingkong Master replayable is the question the June launch will answer. Pre-registration is open now through the LoadSavePoint preview page.
