Music Monday: Trash80 – Missing You
If there's one thing we at Save Point love, aside from hilarious cats, it's motherf*cking chiptunes music. It reminds us of the days we've spent murdering Mega Man, whipping shit in Castlevania, and saving dumb princesses in Xexyz.
My friend Tim, who is awesome and enjoys good beer, which are two qualities you must possess in order to be my friend, is the mastermind behind Trash80. This is probably my favorite song of his, so LISTEN TO IT, DAMMIT. He's been jammin' it up over at Blip Festival this last weekend, so if you saw him perform, I hope you gave him a pretty sweet high-five.

YES! I know what I’m listening to on my way home from work tonight. ^_^ NES remixes KICK A*$! ;^) And not to sound vain or anything, but I AM pretty AWESOME, and I do enjoy a good beer every now and then… In fact I think I might have one as soon as I get home from work as I kick back and play my Wii.

F’n YEAH. I just LOVE those Chiptunes…reminds me of the “good ole days” sittin’ in my room and listening to the Jurassic Park music….I can still hear my mom rambling about this “horrible noise”….think she just doesnt understand the beauty of the old Gameboy-Chip.
Anyway, I’m putting together some of those Chiptunes by myself as well ^^

Me too. Seriously, I rock out to chiptunes way more often than I should. Might be turning into a robot. Totes okay with it.

VERY well done Ms. Foiles.
I just finished mailing to a truckload of Chiptunes artists for today’s sunshine must have burned what was left of my mind and now this idea of a chiptunes Open Air Festival is born. We got a pretty nice lake around here and you could just construct a stage lakeside along the shore and rock out to chiptunes while you chill out on the beach while wearing your newly acquired “Roses are #FF0000 / Violets are ’0000FF / All my base are belong to you”-Shirt ‘cuz the merchandise will consist of guys for nerdy apparel, video games etc.
I’m not fuckin’ kiddin xD

If you haven’t already given Cornbeast a listen, I highly recommend. It’s another 8bitpeoples artist. Chip Hero is a good EP. I’ll include a grooveshark link, at the very least check out “Goof Rock”:

I am forever grateful to Lisa for posting this and introducing me to the awesomeness that is chiptunes. Seriously I never knew such a genre even existed.
Completely hooked onto this and “At Teh Disko” (from that sweet E3 vid).
Thank you Lisa. I would bake you a cake but I’m on the other side of the world :(
